anyone who knew my dad, might see a resemblance here. i think it's his smile and the jeans and short-sleeved shirt combo. i didn't take this picture. i found it on the sartorialist blog and it made me smile. i never thought of my dad in terms of sartorial splendor but i must say that he had a certain style. today is the third anniversary of his death. i miss you pops. i know that wherever you are you're making mischief and having fun.

i like people-watching. i like coffee too. these two things go very well together.

even more so, i love old man style. why do they always look so cool? anyone else dressed like this would look ridiculous.

i avoided these two boys, i guess i get pan-handled so much that i have become quite cranky when it comes to parting with my money. or maybe it's just that i feel bad saying no when someone is in need. anyway, i love that this guy took the time to listen to them and to contribute to their cause. it made me think about encouraging youngsters and how it doesn't really hurt to give a buck here and there. in fact, it usually feels pretty good.
